IDC: China's robot market will double, reaching $59.4 billion in 2020

on April 6, 2017, the price in Beijing fell by $0.1/t compared with the previous trading day. The newly released IDC global commercial robot expenditure guide shows that from now to 2020, the expenditure on China's robots and related services will more than double, that is, the torque will be applied at the rate of 0.5mm/min from 201; The tensile force is a constant value for 6 years, which has increased from US $24.6 billion (about RMB 169.6 billion) to US $59.4 billion (about RMB 409.5 billion) in 2020, and the compound annual growth rate (CAGR) is close to 25%. This expenditure guide provides detailed data on China's robot market covering 13 vertical industries and 52 application scenarios. In addition to the robot system, system hardware, software, robot related services and robot hardware after-sales expenditure data, the guide also adds commercial and consumer UAVs and related after-sales hardware procurement data

dr. zhangjingbing, director of global robotics and Asia Pacific manufacturing research at IDC, pointed out that China continues to lead the growth in the full application of global robotics, and is expected to achieve particularly strong growth in process manufacturing and cross industry applications. At the same time, we have also noticed the accelerated growth of commercial service robots, especially in the application fields of automated material handling in factories, warehousing and logistics facilities

China is the largest and fastest growing robot market in the world. By 2020, the Chinese market will account for more than 30% of the total global robot market. The manufacturing industry will continue to dominate China's spending on robots. In 2016, discrete manufacturing and process manufacturing accounted for more than 50% of the total market

from the perspective of robotics, the robot system expenditure in the Chinese market includes industrial robots, commercial service robots and consumer robot bodies, as well as robot hardware in the after-sales market. This part of consumption is expected to increase to 29billion US dollars (about 200billion yuan) by 2020. Service related consumption covers application management, education and training, hardware deployment, system integration and consulting, and its total amount will exceed US $15.8 billion (about 108.9 billion yuan) by 2020
